A Christmas Like Helen's Natalie Kinsey-Warnock describes what life was like for her own grandmother growing up on a rural Vermont farm before there were cars, telephones, or electricity. With no refrigerators, they have to chisel ice out of the frozen pond, but they skate on that same pond on moonlit nights, ride in a sleigh pulled by horses, tell stories around a warm woodstove, sleigh ride in vermont and sleep under real buffalo robes.
